The Climate Advantage of Crete
Crete benefits from two climate zones,. Most of the island has a Mediterranean climate with mild, rainy winters and hot dry summers. The southwest coasts feature a subtropical climate with relatively high temperatures and evenly distributed precipitation. Typical maximum temperatures range from 20-30 degrees in summer and 10-15 degrees in winter.
This mix enables year-round outdoor and greenhouse cultivation – from olive trees and grapevines to watermelons. Creta has a lot to ofer.
